I was 2cm and 40% effaced at 31 weeks. I am now 33 weeks and there has been no change. Some women just begin to dilate a little sooner than others. It does not mean you will go soon. With my daughter at 33 weeks I was also 2cm and 60% effaced. I ended up being induced with her at 38 weeks due to blood pressure issues.
